Settings

Your key, your default model, and your data. Your key lives only in this tab's session; the rest is stored in this browser and nowhere else.

How your key is handled. Your OpenRouter API key is a short-lived session token. It is kept only in this tab's session storage, never in IndexedDB and never on disk: it disappears when the tab closes, and it expires on its own after eight hours. The key is sent to OpenRouter when an agent takes a turn, and nowhere else. One consequence: open this playground in a new tab, or at a new address such as the live site, and you will paste the key once more. That is the tradeoff, and it is deliberate. Your agents, runs, and the town chronicle are stored in this browser's IndexedDB; your key is not. This page has no server and no account system, and I never see your key, your agents, or your runs.

Clearing your browser site data removes everything this playground stored. The Data panel below does the same thing from inside the page.

OpenRouter API key

One click, using OAuth with PKCE, the flow OpenRouter documents for apps like this one. OpenRouter signs you in and creates a key in your own account for this playground; this page never sees your OpenRouter password, and you can revoke that key at any time in your OpenRouter settings. The key comes back here and lands in this tab's session only, exactly like a pasted key.

Or paste a key instead: get one at openrouter.ai/keys. Every agent turn bills to your own OpenRouter account, at the model prices OpenRouter lists.
